New LA-309P Production Lab Furnaces Typical Control Console Layout

ORANGE, CALIFORNIA, USA February 2014.  New for 2014!  The LA-309 furnace has been ported to the compact LA-306 platform.  The result => a powerful 9-1/2-inch 3-zone IR belt furnace in a compact footprint.  The LA-309P is a ten-foot long 3-zone infrared belt furnace capable of operating continuously up to a maximum temperature of 550°C or as high as 1000°C with the HT option. Use Instrument Air (CDA) or select HC (hermetic chamber) option to use with another process gas. Nominal belt width is 6 inches (15 cm).  The 30-inch long small furnace heating chamber facilitates stable temperatures throughout the heating zones.

For those familiar with the standard LA-309 models, the  heating, cooling and transitions baffle sections in the new LA-309P are exactly the same as in the standard computer-controlled LA-309.

Select 208-500 Vac (50 or 60 Hz) three-phase operation; later the furnace can easily be reconfigured for a different voltage if moved.  The heating elements controlled by three independent PID controllers which fire SCR's to assure high efficiency, fast response and very low power consumption (typically 10-14 kW) even at higher 750°C to 1000°C operation.  Edge heaters can be added to improve across the belt temperature profiles.

These furnace systems are designed and built-to-order by LCI Furnaces in southern California, USA to assure high quality.  Many options of larger furnace systems can be added to suit individual requirements.  ev14-02

LCI introduces new P (dedicated Production line) IR Furnace Controller Typical Control Console Layout

ORANGE, CALIFORNIA, USA January 2014.  Ideal for infrared furnace applications where production operates for long periods with a single recipe, the Production series controller offers the latest in discrete digital PID temperature controllers coupled to a programmable logic controller and reliable industrial SCR's for robust lamp control. Simple to operate the "P" model controller eliminates the computer interface and operating system. Standard on the LA-306, P control system can be offered as a cost reduction option on almost all furnace models as well as RTC furnace upgrades.

LCI furnace systems are designed and built-to-order by Lochaber Cornwall, Inc. in southern California, USA to assure high quality. Many options of larger furnace systems can be added to suit individual requirements.

Special RTC-306 AVAILABLE NOW! (Last One)Typical Control Console Layout

ORANGE, CALIFORNIA January 2014.  Originally a 2-zone 550C RF-316, this furnace was gutted and rebuilt as a 3-Zone LA-306 1000C furnace with new insulation in the furnace chamber and transition sections.  The open fan-cooled section was replaced with a brand new high efficiency CACT manufactured from aircraft aluminum.  The original RTC control system was replaced with a new LCI LA-306 control consle with PLC, sophisticated, but easy to use.  The new electricals are configured for 208-415 Vac 3-phase power for lower operating cost. Use with Nitrogen, CDA (compressed clean dry air) or specialty process gas. Click to see picture book.

The transport drive system is geared for 3-500 mm/min (1-20 inches/min) belt speed, but can easily be geared faster or slower to suit a particular application. The LOAD statinon is RTC standard 9.25 inches long. At the furnace exit, the UNLOAD station has been extended to 39.5 inches long, providing more than 4x the amount of time for removing product from the furnace exit. The furnace is 335 cm L x 45cm W x 156 cm H (132"L x 18"W x 61.5"H).  A powerful production lab furnace in a small footprint.

This IR furnace is ideal for a wide range of laboratory or production operations.
